Do you think you have to learn about Accounting?

Hello,

Just I was searching for something in my bag. and I see the book about Accounting that I always take with me.

It is a really nice book. It’s about how you can implement accounting methods in your job without any prior knowledge about accounting.

In the first pages it talk about the two way of counting in accounting. (when you do the service. or when you get the money). If you are an accounting student you should know more than me.

I learn 3 courses about accounting when I was doing my Bachelor degree. I have a little knowledge about accounting but I can know some accounting charts when I see it.

So, If you are a manager. do you think you should know about Accounting or not?

I asked my self this question before and my answer was YES. I should know a little about accounting because it give you some advantage when you apply for a job. Or even if you want to establish your own business.

If you know about the main reports of accounting. when you get a report you will know it without help from the accountant or any one else. you will know if there is a problem. or if you have a bad month or good.

I think I will learn a lot when  I share my experience with you. when I learn any thing I will post it here. Accounting students should correct me if I post something wrong. The rest can learn with me.
